Information Security Policy

Protecting client data, proprietary software, and internal systems is paramount to 8TeckSolution's operational integrity.

Data Access & Authorization

Access to source code, client servers, and customer databases is strictly based on the Principle of Least Privilege (PoLP). Role-based access control (RBAC) is enforced across all 8TeckSolution platforms.

Password & Authentication

All employee accounts require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Passwords must be at least 14 characters, alphanumeric, and rotated every 90 days. Never share credentials via chat or email.

Device & Endpoint Security

Only company-issued or MDM-enrolled devices may be used for development. Hard drives must be fully encrypted (BitLocker/FileVault). Unattended screens must be locked immediately.

Incident Reporting

Any suspected phishing attempt, unauthorized access, or data breach must be reported to the IT Security team within 1 hour. Delay in reporting is considered a policy violation.

Workplace Rules & Guidelines

Clean Desk & Clean Screen Policy

Employees must clear their desks of sensitive documents at the end of the day. Screens must be locked when stepping away. Passwords should never be written on sticky notes.

Remote Work & VPN Usage

When working from a home-based office or public space, connection to the corporate network must be made exclusively through the official 8TeckSolution VPN. Public Wi-Fi without VPN is strictly prohibited.

Code of Conduct & Anti-Harassment

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination and harassment. All employees are expected to treat peers, clients, and partners with absolute respect and professionalism.

Acceptable Use of IT Assets

Company-provided hardware, software, and email accounts are for business purposes. Hosting illegal content, cryptocurrency mining, or accessing unauthorized websites is grounds for immediate termination.

Data Protection

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, we ensure purpose limitation, data minimization, and lawful processing. Explicit consent is acquired before collecting user data for our SaaS and web services. Data fiduciaries are appointed for oversight.

IT Act, 2000 & 2008

Cyber Laws & InfoSec

Under Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, we maintain reasonable security practices to protect sensitive personal data. We comply with CERT-In directions, ensuring mandatory reporting of severe cyber incidents within 6 hours.

Workplace Regulations

We strictly adhere to the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act. We have a fully constituted Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) adhering to the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013, ensuring a safe workplace for all.
